 Do you think House.MD and Grey’s Anatomy ‘s diagnosis are all factual? Im kind off addictive to it and considering myself entering medschool. what do you think? |

They aren’t all “factual” per se but they are at least rooted in truth. The diseases may exist in certain forms but the shows’ interpretations should be taken with a grain of salt.

some of them are,but others not.

All based on fact, but the timelines and the treatments tried are often fictionalized somewhat to fit an hour’s show.

the diseases are very real, i dont watch grey’s but house m.d. is very read but i doubt some of the ways that people get them are b a bit overstretched but anything’s possible

Everything that happens on that show is real live diseases and disorders. All of it can actually happen to people in the real world.
I’m absolutely addicted to both of those shows!

I know that all the medical cases presented on Grey’s Anatomy, have at least occurred once. I’m not so sure about House though. All in all, if you want to be a doctor go for it! But don’t just do it because television makes it look interesting, truth is it’s not that fabulous. There isn’t really that much sex going on and I’m sure nobody’s ever had a prom in a hospital before

Yeah I think so. I know that they have a couple of real doctors working on the Grey’s set. Whenever they come up with something medical for the show, they check in with several doctors and surgeons to ask if it could really happen.

I watch these shows too, but the thought of going to medical school had never passed my mind. It all looks cool on tv, but in real life it’s nothing like that.
But if you are really interested in medicine and stuff, you should do it.
